THE EXHIBITION
In this hard economic slump, which poses many doubts about an unmanageable, rigid, standardized and also obsolete developing system, the righteous alternative of craftsmanship, able to relate with agility arts & jobs, interpreting the changeable need of a changeable market, creating products featuring a low environmental impact and an high “Taylor – made” value, able to tune into an increasing request of authenticity, comes in play.Â
The liquefying of mass-produced certainties and big numbers’ shrinking seem to advantage limited and small editions productions, featured by an invention’s perfection (unhooked from the urgency of mass-selling), its research and experimentation, and creative risks that could be measured with concreteness and problems of a non-mechanic or homologated production activity, executed with ancient craftsman experiences; ancient, but not so insensitive in shaping “new things”.     Â
This phenomena can be investigated under many points of view, including who processes traditional materials with new techniques (and vice-versa), who self – products or realizes products for other parts, who poses the spotlight over art or over crafts, without disregarding designs and process.Â

In the complex system of projects and design (processes, production and research), today are easy to found ways and results that refer to the “craftsmen work”: it plays his role, his features to show right now in order to save local cultures, the know-how, the expressions of an effective applied art.     Â

The modern craftsman’s work, qualifies itself not only for its abilities in “handling stuff”, but also because it researches (just like dedication) the “best way” to do the project.

So, The craftsman is involved into the job processes, unlike many other professional figures in today’s job market.Â
In our craftsmen’s selection, in the most classical way, they are more than aware, they are responsibly active, they operate with great efforts with designers and high-level artists…
The Feature that differentiates our project (in actual way) is this: the craftsman, with rising creative solidarity from high-level artists, are able to enhance, in quality and frequency, the design’s job, exploring other important spheres, spreading the project’s culture and design’s culture.
